Dog Daycare for Your Verde Valley Wine Day

Coming over Mingus Mountain from Prescott for the wineries? You are about an hour to an hour and fifteen away, whether you take the scenic route through Jerome or the interstate. The Verde Valley Wine Trail runs right through Old Town Cottonwood, about five minutes from us, with more rooms out in Cornville and Page Springs. The catch: tasting rooms are indoors, and a wine day is a multi-stop drinking day, so the dog cannot tag along. Drop your dog with us for the day, sip your way down the trail, and pick up a happy, freshly groomed pup on your way back over the mountain.

The wine trail, right in our backyard

Old Town Cottonwood is the central hub, a walkable Main Street with about seven tasting rooms pouring Arizona wine. Out in Cornville and Page Springs, about fifteen to twenty minutes south, the wineries cluster together so you can sip through them all in one afternoon. Drive times are from the shop.

Cornville & Page Springs wineries

A rural cluster of wineries along Page Springs Road with peaceful vineyard views. Some allow leashed dogs on the patio, but a guided tasting flight or a tour van is a drop-the-dog day.

The Verde Canyon Railroad runs a wine-themed excursion through the canyon. Like every train ride here, it does not take dogs, so it is a daycare day for your pup.

Make Cottonwood your home base, and us your dog's

Cottonwood sits right in the middle of it all. A Verde Valley day bundles the wine trail, the Sedona red rocks about twenty minutes on, the Verde Canyon Railroad about ten minutes away, Jerome on the way up Mingus, and Old Town dining. Nearly every one of those is a leave-the-dog activity. Make Cottonwood your base for the day, and make us your dog's base while you are out. Choose daycare at $19 for a half day or $29 for a full day, and add a groom so they come home fresh. If your dog crossed a skunk on the way in, our $35 de-skunk treatment sorts that out too.

Do not get evicted: daycare for hotel guests

On vacation and your dog is not settling in the room? Many hotels and resorts around here, in Sedona especially, do not allow a dog to be left alone in the room, and a barking complaint can cost you a fee or your reservation. Before that becomes a problem, bring them to us for a few hours or the day. Keep your room, keep your deposit, and keep your vacation. We are open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with grooming seven days a week, and for overnight trips we do boarding by weight and cat boarding too.

Guests and locals welcome. Whether you are down the road or over the mountain, you are 'ohana here.
